Passover

Past

*Lev 23:5 “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's Passover.”

*Ex 12:13-14 "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever".

Present-
*1 Corinthians 5:7 “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us”.
*1 John 2:2 “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world”.
*Revelation 1:5 “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood”.
*1 Cor 11:27-32 “Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.”

This Holy Day has serious consequences if done incorrectly, even death (sleep). Have you been angry Matt 5:22 with any child of God during the year? Examine yourself carefully. If you have hated and not forgiven any child of God during the year you are not worthy.
*Luke 6:37 "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven".
*Rom 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one".
*Matt 6:14-15 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses".

*Matt 18:33-35 "Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses".
Being unforgiving
makes you guilty of the body and blood of the Lord because he sacrificed himself for the sins of the whole world.
Christ obeyed the will of his Father Luke 22:42.The will of the Father is the Holy Spirit.
*2 Tim 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind".
*2 Tim 1:10 "But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel".

*1 John 4:19 “We love him, because he first loved us”.
Only someone who has seriously counted the cost Luke 14:28 and given their life to serve God’s will (baptized heart, soul and mind) should partake of Christ’s flesh and blood. Discerning the Lords body is to be of the same heart soul and mind of the will of God Phil 2:5, Luke 23:34. You must be of the same mind as Christ if you are truly being called for service in God’s coming kingdom.
If you do eat of his body and blood unworthy you will be chastened.
Each year this Holy Day is the renewing of your vows to remain faithful to love 1 John 4:8.
This Holy Day takes place in the evening as Christ and his disciples did. The foot washing ceremony must take place to make you clean before you take of the body and the blood.
If you are by yourself you must clean your own feet John 13:1-17.
*John 13:8 “Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me”.
Scriptures should be read Rom 10:17 before taking of the body (unleavened bread) Isa 53:3-12, Matt 8:16-17, 1 Peter 2:20-24, Hebrews 4:14-16, John 6:32-40, John 6:48-51, John 6:53-58, 1 Cor 10:16-17, 1 Cor 11:24. Give thanks and then take of the bread.
Scriptures should be read before taking of the blood (wine) Eph 1:7,
Matt 26:27 -28 , 1 John 1:7-9, Hebrews 9:11-15. Give thanks and then take of the wine.
Why read these scriptures? Because it puts you in the same spirit of remembrance as the disciples. This is a solemn ceremony.
This needs repeating. This is a solemn ceremony. If you do not give this Holy Day its due respect solemnly you will be sorry and until you are sorry you will not be forgiven. God does not tolerate ignorance when he expects you to know better. Much is required to whom much is given.
*Mark 14:23-24 “And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many”.

Future-
*Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”.
During the millennium Christ our Passover rules with his immortal bride Rev 7:4. No remembrance ceremony will be needed anymore.
This Holy Day from here on out will be a memorial day of Christ's everlasting love and forgiveness Luke 23:34.

Forever-
Is this to be a memorial only for a few? No. It is for everyone.
*Rom 3:29-31 "Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law".
All will have been reconciled to the Father through Christ’s blood at their resurrection. All are given eternal life. All of God’s children are delivered from bondage through our savior.
*Romans 8:21 “Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God”.
*Revelation 7:14 “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb”.
